Malapascua Island An Escape Haven
People go on vacation for several reasons, to relax, recharge or reflect. However, it’s when we travel that we feed our soul to have a memorable trip. Since, summer time is approaching and we know everyone is excited to go on some break so we take you to the beautiful and tropical island of Malapascua.
Getting there the easy way
Take a bus to Maya with the signboard “Maya-Bagay”. You can take the Ceres Bus Liner the yellow ones or the Rough Riders the red ones. The journey itself takes between 3-4 hours and costs approximately Php 163.00 per person (fare may change without prior notice). This will take you all the way to the New Maya Port, so just get off the end of the line.
From there, there is a small white booth, where you can buy a ticket for the next Banca to the island; the tickets costs Php 80.00 per person. We suggest leaving in the morning to make sure you arrive at the port before 2 pm.
Accommodation (Buena Vida Resort and Spa)
Buena Vida opened in December of 2014 with a brand new concept on the island where a relaxed holiday will come together with the beautiful ambiance of a Spa. The modern and well design rooms plus the open and comfortable wooden living terrace gives your island stay that special something, no matter if you travel alone, with your partner on a romantic getaway or enjoying a family holiday with your children.
VIDA SPA
It is the most spacious and professional run Spa on Malapascua Island. The calm and beautiful garden setting is the best place to find peace for your body and soul.
TROPICAL GARDEN
The high diversity of flowers and plants create stunning surrounding scenery. A perfect hideaway to completely forget about your troubles and immerse yourself in relaxed pace of tropical life.
THE BISTRO
They offer a great healthy choice of different kinds of food. Fresh fruits juices, fruit salads, smoothies, salads and vegetarian dishes are available beside their variety of regular food which can be ordered anytime because their goal is to serve the freshest and healthiest food.
Just a reminder for the ones who are planning to get an escapade just make sure that you stock up cash before you leave for the island because there are no ATM and banks in there.
And I’m sure after that summer getaway you will have the full energy to be back into the day- to- day grind.
