#KeepCalm&LoveCoffee
Are you a coffee lover, and looking for something a little extra? Perhaps some coffee education? Now, let’s start brewing and take a glorious exploration about coffee.
I have this drink that I usually order. I have been experimenting this drink to enhance my coffee experience for quite a while. It’s called Ice Soy Hazel Nut Mocha. This is actually considered a Christmas drink.
The 3 Lines
We should learn a little bit of contents and how the drink is made. In this cup there are 3 lines. Each line represents something depending on the kind of drink. Basically they are used for measuring ingredients within the drink. But will I shall be brief with this. In the 1st line in Frappuccino Drinks is where the level of milk should be. In the 1st line for non coffee drinks it is a combination of syrup and milk. The 2nd line I believe to be is the level of the amount of espresso shots or any add-on’s should be. And the 3rd line is basically the level for everything on it for the Ice drinks such as Ice Mocha (the base of the drink that I chose) or any Iced drinks with espresso on it.
The Six Squares
So just like the 3 Lines in your Iced or Frappuccino drinks. There are also 6 squares which are basically codes, the codes which the barista should know in order what type of drink are they going to make. The 6 Squares are Decaf (Whether it’s decaf or not.), Shots (The amount of expresso shots being placed.),Syrup (The type of syrup being added.), Milk (The kind of milk being added.), Custom (Whether there are any other unsually request you want to add.) and lastly Drink (The size of your drink.)
Okay now in my drink. That I have ordered.
Ice Soy Hazel Nut Mocha
We have 3 shots of expresso (This is actually a lot for average people who don’t drink coffee that much.) (You can have it decaf instead.)[In order to make a perfect espresso shot, the brewing of it would be around 18-23 seconds.]
Syrup: H (Hazel Nut)
Milk: S ( Vanilla Soy Milk.)
Custom: WC (Without Whip Cream.) [I do not suggest whip cream on this drink because it will eliminate the coffee taste along with the Mocha. Making it too creamy.
Drink: Venti
The Pair-ups
When you drink your coffee, it’s always best to pair it with pastry or any other food that goes along with it. (That fits with it of course!)
Based on my experience chili or even chili flavored pastries: Does not go well with Mocha because it eliminates certain taste in the Iced Mocha ingredients. Making it taste unusual and different.
Snickers: Is a good pair-up when you want the flavor of the coffee to dominate.
Oreos: When you want to simply make the whole entire flavor of the drink balanced.
Hershey’s Dark Chocolate: If you want to emphasizes the bitter sweet with the combination of the mocha and the espresso shots. (Which is coffee.)
“A cup of coffee shared by friends is a happiness tasted and time well spent”. It’s time for a break! Because we all deserve a COFFEE break.
