Cebu is the home of the best lechon makers of the Philippines. In every grand occasion, the star and the center piece of Filipino buffets is lechon. The word “lechon” came from the Spanish term that refers to a roasted suckling pig. Lechon is a skewered whole pig roasted over charcoal, a popular dish in the Philippines.
There are many popular Cebu Lechon but we chose the best among the rest for our featured posts, and that is Rico’s Lechon, the pioneer of spicy lechon, their bestseller. It is not your traditional roasted pig. It is dished up with garlic, leeks and a secret ingredient that awakens all the nerve endings of your taste buds. Cooked with precision and served with perfection.

We dined in one of its branches located at Unit 4 and 5 The Ridges Commercial Bldg. F.Cabahug Street,Mabolo Cebu City, and it has a casual and easy spirit restaurant. The interior was neat and clean and it has a simple and welcoming vibe. Once you enter the restaurant the smell of the lechon makes your stomach crave even more. Prices are reasonable.
You can also order it online, with door- to- door delivery within Metro Manila. Rico’s Lechon offers two variation of flavor, the original lechon which ranges from P3, 500 – 6, 000 pesos and the spicy lechon price ranges from P4, 000 – 6, 800 pesos depending on the size and the availability of your order.

They have already been visited by famous personalities like former president Joseph Estrada, Luis Manzano, Anne Curtis, Banana Split casts and it was also featured by Kris Aquino on her daily morning show, Kris TV. Truly Rico’s Lechon is one of the Cebu’s Best!
